SUNY Plattsburgh has been recognized by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine for being among the best values for public campuses in the nation.
For in-state students, SUNY Plattsburgh ranked 97th out of 100 institutions that made the cut.
"Schools that top Kiplinger's 100 Best Values in Public Colleges are noteworthy for their combination of top-flight academics and affordable costs," according to the publication. For out-of-state students, SUNY Plattsburgh came in 79th.
The criteria used to rank the campuses are academic quality, cost, and financial aid. The top 100 campuses were selected from a pool of more than 500 public four-year colleges and universities.
