- About Plattsburgh
Last year, more than 1,200 students earned credits as part of SUNY Plattsburgh’s three summer sessions.
Whether online or on-campus, their courses gave them chances to catch up or get ahead on credits, improve their grade-point averages, learn unique skills in small classes and hone in on one or two courses rather than the full slate of a typical semester.
Among the three sessions, 271 courses were offered.
Registration for the upcoming Summer Session opens April 3.
Classes begin May 23 for Session A, June 6 for Session B and July 11 for Session C. As in past years, courses are available online and on-campus to both matriculated and non-matriculated students.
This year, all students who take a summer course will be entered to win an iPad Mini.
Taking summer session courses on-campus gives students more than just the chance to earn credits.
The Lake Champlain Valley region and the city of Plattsburgh provide numerous options for recreation, day and weekend trips, shopping, dining and nightlife. Summer is when tourism in the area peaks, bringing Plattsburgh, Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to life with festivals, parades and other events.
