SUNY Plattsburgh has once again been named one of “America’s Best Colleges — Regional Universities North” by U.S. News & World Report.
The perennial ranking by the media company that also scrutinizes graduate schools and hospitals listed SUNY Plattsburgh as having moved to No. 72 of all northern regional universities, up four spots from a year ago. The ranking is based on opinions of administrators at peer institutions, student retention data, faculty resources, admissions selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
“Year in and year out, U.S. News & World Report has recognized SUNY Plattsburgh as a place where students benefit from a first-class college education at a reasonable price,” said President John Ettling. “It is gratifying to learn that we continue to enjoy this distinction.”
This latest placement adds to several by national publications and services that have placed SUNY Plattsburgh favorably for reasons such as affordability, environmental mindfulness, academics and scholarship for creative arts.
