Get Ready to Stand Out at SUNY Plattsburgh

So, What Comes Next?

We originated as a Normal School for Teachers in 1889. Today, the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Plattsburgh has evolved into a comprehensive institution - a dynamic community of students, teachers, and scholars.

We believe that every student has the potential to become outstanding. SUNY Plattsburgh provides a balanced college environment that helps students to discover that potential within them and to make the most of it.

We educate our graduates in the best academic traditions, preparing them to compete successfully in the job market or to excel in further studies at the master's or doctoral levels.

Our location benefits students by providing rich recreational and cultural experiences. The Green Mountains of Vermont and New York's Adirondacks rise majestically above the Lake Champlain Valley, an area of active tourism and environmental study.
