Accounting Minor (18 Credits)
Yes, accounting can lead to a career in and of itself, but each of us uses accounting in our everyday lives. It may even give you an edge when applying for a job. Many management positions require an understanding of accounting information and employers may seek out students with more accounting background for some positions. In your personal life you may need to balance your checkbook, read your credit card statement, prepare documents for financial aid applications, make investments, or take out a car loan. Certainly a minor in accounting can help you in your understanding of technical information. All majors on campus are encouraged to consider a minor in accounting.
For additional information or to add the minor, please contact Mr. Mark Kaiser by phone at (518) 564-4206, by email at: mark.Kaiser@plattsburgh.edu or stop by his office located in Redcay 160.
