Major in Biochemistry
Our Biochemistry Major Allows You To:
- Gain intensive training in two disciplines (biology + chemistry)
- Benefit from excellent preparation for advanced studies in biology, chemistry, medicine
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry (120 credits)
The interdisciplinary Biochemistry Major provides students with a more indepth foundation in Chemistry, including advanced coursework in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. Independent Research is also required of students in this major.
Students planning on graduate studies, medical/professional training, or research careers often choose this major for its thorough training in two areas of science.
