Becoming a professional in the business world you'll face beyond college means having an extensive education in the latest information technologies. SBE's Laptop Program is an integral part of our commitment to helping you succeed and to ensuring that you are best able to compete in an increasingly connected - and global - workplace.
Our Laptop Program requires you to purchase a laptop computer with certain specifications. This program will enable you to work with SBE faculty on sophisticated projects that require shared software architecture. We provide full technical support for all required hardware and software.
You may purchase your laptop from the College Store or from the vendor of your choice. As long as it meets the required specifications, the brand does not matter. If you choose to purchase from the College Store, we recommend that you wait until your Summer Orientation session, since the best prices will be available at that time.
Who Needs to Buy a Laptop?
We require all students majoring in degree programs offered through the School of Business and Economics to purchase the specified laptops. Students who are not SBE majors but who are taking certain SBE courses may be required to use laptops in class; in these cases, please check with the course instructor or department chair.
