- Monday, January 5: Winter 2009 three-week classes begin
- Sunday, January 11: Spring 2009 non-matriculated student registration begins (10 a.m.)
- Saturday, January 24: Residence halls open (11 a.m.)
- Sunday, January 25: New student course advisement/registration (10 a.m
- Monday, January 26: Classes begin
- Friday, January 30: Permission to register for credit-hour overload due
February
- Sunday, February 1: Course add/drop ends (midnight)
- Friday, February 6: Spring 2009 independent study, research practium, and internship registration paperwork due in the Registrar's Office.
- Thursday, February 19: Last day to apply for in-state residency for Fall semester
- Friday, February 20: Diploma Applications for May 2009 and August 2009 graduating students due in Registrar's Office.
- Sunday, February 22: Deadline for withdrawing from courses meeting first eight weeks of the semester (e.g., LIB courses).
March
- Friday, March 13: Classes End (10 p.m.)
- Saturday, March 14: Spring break begins; Residence halls close (noon)
- Sunday, March 22: Residence halls open (noon)
- Monday, March 23: Classes resume
- Wednesday, March 25: Mid-term grades due (midnight)
- Friday, March 27: Registration material distribution to departments
- Monday, March 30: Fall course advisement begins (8 a.m.)
April
- Sunday, April 5: Fall priority registration begins for all matriculated graduate students, all fall 2009 readmits, and all branch campus students (10 a.m.); summer registration begins for all matriculated students at the main campus and the branch campus (10 a.m.)
- Friday, April 10: Course advisement ends; last day for unrestricted course withdrawal
- Saturday, April 11: Undergraduate students fall priority registration begins (10 a.m.); students may view their registration access assigned days/times on Banner Web; non-matriculated student registraton for summer 2009 begins (10 a.m.)
- Monday, April 20: Academic Advising release registration codes to students who did not meet with their academic advisors during the course selection advisement period.
- Sunday, April 26: Fall course adjustment ends for matriculated, main campus undergraduate students (11:30 p.m.)
- Monday, April 27: $40 late registration fee applicable for continuing students who did not register during the priority registration period listed above.
May
- May 3 (10 a.m.) - June 5 (midnight): Fall course schedule adjustment
- Saturday, May 9: Final week begins
- Friday, May 15: Spring semester ends (6 p.m.) ; Spring Convocation (5 p.m.)
- Saturday, May 16: Commencement (10 a.m. for undergraduate and graduate students from the School of Business and Economics and Health, Education, and Human Services; 2 p.m. for undergraduate and graduate students from the Arts & Science division); Residence halls close (10 a.m.) - For graduating seniors (5 p.m.)
- Wednesday, May 20: Final grades due (noon)
