- About Plattsburgh
Audio Lab 1 is a voice-capture and processing studio that is used by both entry-level and advanced audio engineers.
You will get training and exposure to older, analog equipment like turntables and cassettes — as well as digital equipment that includes Compact Disc (CD), MiniDisc (MD), and a digital audio workstation.
At the heart of this lab is a 12 Channel Audio Arts radio console that provides the initial training for the radio and television industries. In this lab you begin your digital processing development with the help of Adobe's digital audio editing package — Audition. Two Shure, general-use, dynamic microphones assist with voice and dialog recordings while mixing and signal processing are accomplished with the help of two EV Studio monitors.
