Plattsburgh State Television (PSTV)
Train in a Working TV Station
PSTV is Plattsburgh State's very own television station operated by students in the Department of Communication Studies through Practicum classes CMM233
and CMM433.
It is the students who help bring together the shows that are broadcast. They do the producing, directing, acting, writing, editing, camera operation, set design, promotions, and more. Every department and position that exists at any other TV station exists at PSTV.
Ice Hockey Control Room
As a part of PSTV, students have the opportunity to record and broadcast most of the Men and Women's Ice Hockey games from the newly-remodeled Stafford Ice Arena. Various camera, audio, lighting, switcher, graphics generators, and video tape recorders (VTR's) are available for students to complete the production process.
Basketball Control Room
Students at PSTV also have the opportunity to record and broadcast many of the Men and Women's Basketball games from Memorial Gymnasium. Various camera, audio, lighting, switcher, graphics generators, and video tape recorders (VTR's) are available for students to complete these productions as well as a fiber optic link from Memorial Hall to the Master Control Room (MCR).
