TV & Video Studios
Get Involved in all Aspects of TV & Video Production
Our TV and Video Studios are open to all production majors to do course work and production projects. It is mostly used by TV-Video Production and Broadcast Journalism students, but is also frequented by many Audio-Radio Production and Digital Media Production majors.
Your projects can include productions for introductory/training purposes as well as advanced productions (often created for off-campus clients) that contribute to your final video demo reel and digital portfolio. You can also use these facilities to produce recorded (and live) television as a part of Plattsburgh State Television (CMM233/433).
At the TV and Video Studios, you can sign-out field equipment, record studio-based productions, and transfer, edit, and render finalized video productions as a part of specific courses. Video equipment and facilities are available at least 16 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the semester (and closed for holidays/breaks). You will get training and hands-on preparation with video equipment involving lighting, shooting, editing, graphic creation, audio mixing and sweetening, rendering, routing, and media transfer to prepare you for your future job sites.
The Television and Video Studios are located in the lower level of the western wing in the Yokum Communications Lecture Hall building.
