Computer Science Faculty - Jim Owens

Adjunct Lecturer

Jim Owens has been an information technology professional and educator for more than a dozen years. Following a career in the United States Air Force, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business & Management, Jim enrolled in the graduate education program at St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont in 1994.

After obtaining licensure as a secondary teacher, as well as a Masters of Education degree, Jim worked and taught in schools in Vermont and Massachusetts for four years. In 1999, he went to work as a technical educator in the software industry. Over the past four years, he has taught Business, Math and Information Technology courses at Plattsburgh State University, Empire State College and Clinton County Community College in New York, as well as the Community College of Vermont.

Jim makes his home in Peru, New York.
