Prepare for a Career in Business, Government, or Academia
Recent graduates from the Department of Economics and Finance at Plattsburgh State are now working for many nationally known companies such as IBM, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Salomon Smith-Barney. Additionally many of our students continue their studies and are now working on graduate degrees at SUNY-Albany, SUNY-Buffalo, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins, to name a few.
Earning a four-year degree in Economics is also great preparation for Law School. A recent graduate of our program, Ms. Jessica Rowe, just finished her law degree at Syracuse University and is now working as an attorney for Harris Beach in Plattsburgh.
