- About Plattsburgh
Transferring from a larger university center to SUNY Plattsburgh’s finance program was by far one of my best decisions. The one-on-one attention I have received from my faculty has been truly inspirational and excites me about my future.
While sitting in each of my finance or economics classes, it isn’t about rote memorization or answering ABCD on each test, but about expanding one’s mind to think in a more analytically and diverse way. My professors challenge me to not only work hard to receive the pivotal A, but to expand my thoughts and aspirations to the highest degree. It excites me every day to walk into class and look forward to the day where I can use the knowledge I am receiving to make an impact on the real world.
I feel very confident that I will have a successful future because I am an exceptionally hard worker and strive for success. However, without being a part of the finance and economics program at SUNY Plattsburgh, I cannot say I would have such confidence. The finance and economics program expects nothing but excellence from its students and I am thrilled to represent them.
The finance program at SUNY Plattsburgh is challenging and aims to prepare students for the real world of finance from many different perspectives.
The faculty, staff and fellow students are always willing to provide guidance and advice to anyone who needs it. As a local student, being able to meet and work with others from around the world with many different backgrounds has allowed me to become a more well-rounded person. Dr. Christopherson has consistently provided me with ample opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. The knowledge and skills that I have gained in the finance program at SUNY Plattsburgh has provided me with a solid background to pursue my career.
