Photo of SUNY Plattsburgh students teaching in an elementary school classroomThe Office of Student Teaching and Field Experience provides our teacher candidates with the opportunity to experience extensive hands-on school field experience at various levels. Our teacher candidates complete their practical preparation in their senior year by enrolling in a full semester of student teaching. With the support of advisors and working with teachers in the field, teacher candidates assume full responsibility for classroom instruction.
