Distinguished Teaching Professor
Promoted to the rank of SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor in 2003, Dr. Daphne Kutzer has built an exceptional record and reputation as a teacher-scholar.
Awards that recognize her excellence as a teacher include the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Phi Eta Sigma Distinguished Faculty Award, and membership in both the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Alpha Sigma Lamda.
The author of two books and editor of one in the past seven years, Dr. Kutzer has also written eight book chapters, six peer reviewed journal articles, six book reviews, and numerous conference presentations and invited lectures.
Kutzer has also given generously and often to serve her department and Plattsburgh on numerous committees including, general education, departmental curriculum, Middle States, NCATE and Women's Studies, to name a few.
