Assistant Professor and Chair
Dr. Jean Ouedraogo teaches French language as well as African and Caribbean Francophone literatures and cultures. His current research interests include African Cinema, literary translation and Quebec oral traditions.

Scholarly Publications
Dr. Jean Ouedraogo has published two books, two book chapters, and many refereed articles in Canada, France, Burkina Faso, and the United States. He is currently coordinating a dossier on the late Ivorian writer Ahmadou Kourouma for Research in African Literatures and co-editing a book on Pan-African Cinema.

Dr. Jean Ouedraogo is member of the American Association of Teachers of French, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the African Studies Association, and the African Literature Association. He serves as a Canadian Studies Associate.
