Chef/Instructor
Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, Kim attended The Culinary Institute of America, where she earned an A.O.S. degree in baking and pastry arts. She then went on to finish her education at Plattsburgh State University, where she earned her B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Kim has a lot of experience in the field working as a chef, a chef instructor, a caterer, and a manager at several different restaurants in New York, Florida, and Colorado.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys traveling, visiting with friends and relatives, and running. Currently, Kim teaches the lab portions for both of the restaurant operations classes, oversees the Starbuck's morning coffee and breakfast operation of Samuel D's, and directs the Field Experience requirement of the program.
