Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Mangement Faculty - Robert Rolfs
Originally from Rome, New York, Mr. Rolfs received his B.S. Degree from the Cornell Hotel School at Cornell University, as well as his M.S.P.A. in Public Administration at Russell Sage College.
Before becoming a professor at Plattsburgh, Mr. Rolfs worked as a general manager at the Butler Officers Club in Japan, as well as serving as Vice President of Support Services and Vice President of Administrative Services at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He has also worked as a General Manager at a lodge, and as President of a restaurant and saloon in Montana.
In his spare time, Mr. Rolfs enjoys fly-fishing, camping, traveling, hiking, and visiting his old place of residence in Montana. He also has served as a member on the Plattsburgh Chamber of Commerce for several years. Currently, Mr. Rolfs is teaching Leadership in the Hospitality Industry, Food and Beverage Cost Controls, Beverage Management, Introduction to Wines, and Resort Management.
