Major in Magazine Journalism
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Science (B.S.) in Journalism: Magazine
The magazine journalism major prepares students for jobs as magazine writers and editors. The major is also designed to teach students to examine the economic and social role of magazines in the context of today's communication environment. Students learn the writing, editing, production, and business of magazines. Students take magazine-specific courses in which they

- write queries and articles on spec for consumer magazines
- work as writers, editors, photographers, and designers for the All Points North online or the print version of the magazine
- design a magazine of their own
- analyze current magazine markets
