M.S. in Leadership and M.B.A. Program

Master of Science in Leadership (36 credits) and
Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) (Accelerated - 45 credits, Regular - 57 credits)

Your work and life experiences are great assets to the learning process which is experiential and pragmatic, encouraging you to bring into the learning experience your wealth of knowledge while immediately applying new ideas, skills, and competencies in practical ways to your work and life environment.

Classes are offered in a variety of delivery modes - electronic, face-to-face, and simulcast - so you have flexibility to maintain your work and family schedules while earning your degree.

Admission

Acceptance Requirements for SUNY Plattsburgh's M.S. in Leadership

  1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution.
  2. A grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Satisfactory scores on an admission test: Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
  4. An Application for Admission to Graduate Study (obtained from the Graduate Admissions Office) that includes:
    • Statement of Purpose describing your purpose in pursuing graduate work, your professional aims and your career goals.
    • Three Letters of Recommendation indicating your ability to pursue graduate work.
      (Applicants to the Speech-Language Pathology Program utilize a different recommendation form.)
    • Non-refundable $75 (U.S. dollars) Application Fee.
  5. Students whose native language is not English must submit official documentation of their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score.
    Required score: 550 or above (paper-based); 79-80 or above (internet-based); or 213 or above (computer-based).
  6. International students must provide official documents to prove that they have enough money to pay for their education, estimated at $24,000 per year.

Acceptance Requirements for Concordia University's John Molson School of Business M.B.A.

  1. 21 credit hours in SUNY Plattsburgh's M.S. Leadership Program with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better
  2. Work Experience: 2 Years
  3. GMAT Score: 600+

Transfer Agreement between Concordia University's John Molson School of Business and SUNY Plattsburgh

Up to 21 credits from SUNY Plattsburgh's M.S. Leadership Program may be applied to the M.B.A. program leaving 24 to 36 credits to be taken at Concordia University John Molson School.

  1. Regular M.B.A. Program at Concordia University's John Molson School of Business - 57 credits
    • Graduates of any undergraduate major are eligible for this program. Curricular requirements are:
      • 21 credits from SUNY Plattsburgh M.S. Leadership Program
      • 36 credits from Concordia University

Additional Coursework to Complete SUNY Plattsburgh's M.S. in Leadership Program

If all equivalents are completed from the Concordia MBA program (Chart 2), 12 credits will apply to a SUNY Plattsburgh M.S. Leadership degree with a minor in Leadership Tools. One additional course must be taken at SUNY Plattsburgh (MLS 585) to complete SUNY Plattsburgh's 36-credit hour program.
