- About Plattsburgh
Management is the art of successfully leading the modern organization more effectively. This involves planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization.
Managers organize, coordinate and direct the many support activities and staff that allow organizations to operate efficiently. This requires addressing on a daily basis, a wide variety of issues including, financial, material, human, legal, political, and environmental issues.
Managers must possess skills and abilities in the areas of leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, strategy, ethics, written and oral communication, computer literacy, and analytical and cross cultural skills in order to be successful.
