Our Physics Major Allows You To
- Work in a wide range of industry and government careers, doing design, engineering, analysis, and technical management.
- Pursue opportunities in research, development, consultation, and education.
- Seek a master's or doctorate degree in physics, engineering, astronomy, or another technical or scientific field.
Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) in Physics (120 credits)
The program provides a solid background in physics and mathematics, together with required courses in chemistry and computer science. The coursework will prepare you to step right into graduate courses, or into workplace situations, secure in the knowledge that you can handle problems that need solving.
The physics faculty are knowledgeable in a wide range of physics and related areas, and offer regular courses as well as special topics that suit the needs of most students. Many students will choose a research project in collaboration with a member of the faculty.
