Gateway to the Universe

The Northcountry Planetarium at State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, established in 1964, is committed to promoting and providing quality astronomy education and space science awareness for our campus students, local area schools as well as the surrounding community.

Our planetarium facility performs as a 360 degree multimedia sky theater, allowing visitors to experience live, interactive programs as well as automated productions that feature realistic night skies and virtual journeys through our solar system and distance deep space phenomena.

The planetarium is closed for renovations and will reopen to the public in 2015.
