Social Work Faculty - Peg Ballantine
Director of Field Instruction
Dr. Ballantine earned a Master's in Social Work degree from Columbia University at Albany's School of Social Welfare and a doctoral degree from the University at Albany. Joining the faculty at Plattsburgh in 2001, Dr. Ballantine's professional practice experience includes work with at-risk, inner city youths, delinquency prevention, mental health, public social services staff development, and intercountry adoptions in rural communities. She has extensive clinical experience in a family service agency as a program developer, clinical supervisor, and field instructor. She is also especially interested in issues of family violence, child sexual abuse and social work with families and groups.
