Strategic Market Expansion in the NAFTA Nations Program 2007-2010

Purpose

To provide SUNY Plattsburgh students with opportunities to study in Canada or Mexico in order to develop business graduates who can recognize, assess, and take advantage of business opportunities that cross the borders of the three North American Countries. The objectives of the program are to:

Stipends and Scholarships

All students selected to participate in this program will receive a stipend of $3000 to help pay transportation, room & board, and other study abroad expenses. An additional stipend of $1000 is available to those students wishing to enroll in a language immersion program prior to their semester abroad.

Students meeting stated eligibility requirements who also have a GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply for a Glaubinger Scholars Society Scholarship of up to full in-state tuition. This scholarship may be used to pay tuition, college fees, or study abroad fees to SUNY Plattsburgh. Funds will typically be paid directly to the registrar, although in some cases students will be reimbursed for fees paid to the Study Abroad Office.
