Global Education Office Staff

Dr. Bryan Higgins, Director of International Education:

Dr. Higgins has been with SUNY Plattsburgh for more than twenty-five years. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Minnesota, and teaches courses in Human Geography, Global Planning Principles, Planning Process, Urban Geography and Planning, and Geography of South America. In addition to teaching, he has been director of the Global Education Office for the past three years. He enjoys visiting unusual places and experiencing local hospitality. Eating and drinking local concoctions is a dream come true for him.

Lin Bouvier, Accounts Manager:

As Accounts Manager, Lin records all financial activities. Her daily duties consist of vouchering payment requisitions, making applicable deposits and maintaining electronic ledgers for the College Foundation, the Research Foundation, College Auxiliary Services, and State of New York accounts. Lin is proud to say that she has been serving the Center since 1985. Lin's personal interests include spending time with her family and friends, cross-country skiing, roller-blading, hiking, enjoying the Adirondacks, and reading. Her latest hobby is scrap booking.

Andy Lang, Study Abroad and Exchanges Manager:

Andy has been at SUNY Plattsburgh for three years, and worked in study abroad at The Ohio State University for almost four years before coming here. He holds a B.A. from McGill University and an M.A. from the University of Cincinnati. Originally from a dairy farm in southeastern Ohio, he also lived in France, Canada, and Texas. He has led students on programs to Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, France, and Russia, and traveled to many others for work and fun.

Lindsey Pashow, Study Abroad and Exchanges Advisor:

Lindsey is a SUNY Plattsburgh alumnus with a B.S. in Business Marketing and an M.A. in Administration and Leadership, and she has been a university employee since August 2004. She studied abroad at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, England and at the Universite du Quebec a Chicoutimi in Canada. Travel is her number one hobby. She has visited Austria, Australia, England, France, Scotland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Mexico, and Spain. "I truly enjoyed each of these locations and would visit them again at any point." When she's not traveling she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities that the Adirondack Region has to offer.

Beckie Greenhaw, Secretary

Beckie has been with the Study Abroad Office since August 2005.  Prior to this she worked in the Registrar's Office for 2 1/2 years.  She holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Clinton Community College and is currently working toward her bachelor degree at SUNY Plattsburgh.  She enjoys travel and has visited many places such as England, Germany, Spain, Bermuda, Portugal and Ireland.  Personally Beckie enjoys being a mom, walking, playing tennis, photography, swimming, scrapbooking and watching football.  She is an avid Indianapolis Colts fan!  Her most prized possessions are her two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Paige.

Location: We are physically located at 102 Broad St. on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus, which is the brown house that sits at the corner of Broad and Beekman Streets across from the Kehoe Building.
