The checklist below will facilitate your transition to SUNY Plattsburgh.
After you are accepted, you have until May 1 (Dec. 1 for spring) or 30 days after your acceptance (whichever is later), unless otherwise stated in your acceptance letter, to pay your $250 deposit. To do this online, follow the instructions below.
1. Login to my.plattsburgh.edu. (follow the link on the login page to find your NETID and password, if you do not already know it).
2. Once you log in, click on the Admissions tab.
3. Under the admissions checklist, click on "Pay Admissions Deposit."
4. Follow the instructions to pay the deposit online.

To be eligible for the most aid, the Financial Aid Office recommends submitting your FAFSA to the Federal Government by the end of January (Nov. 1 for spring). Award packages will be mailed after mid-March (after Nov. 15 for spring). Need help? View guided instructions .
Residence halls will open for new students on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 (Saturday, Jan 21, 2017 for Spring).
Housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are interested in living on campus, you should pay your deposit and submit the online housing application as soon as possible.
Upper-level transfer students and local students can petition to live off-campus. These students are required to pay the $250 deposit and submit the housing exemption request. Email the Office of Housing and Residence life at email@example.com if any questions arise.
You will be sent a Health Report form and Meningitis Response form after paying your deposit. These forms must be signed by both you and your Doctor and returned by July 1 for students accepted to the fall semester.
Spring applicants will receive the Health Report form and Meningitis Response form with their acceptance packets. These forms must be signed by both you and your Doctor and returned by July 1.

Although not a requirement, our Student Orientation is highly recommended. It gives students the chance to make new friends, learn how to get around campus, meet with an academic advisor and assemble the fall schedule.
Odyssey is an adventure-based program for first year students at SUNY Plattsburgh. This program takes place the week before the fall semester. There are 60 slots available and it is a first come first serve basis. Please note that Odyssey is not part of the New Student Orientation Program which is offered during the months of June and July.
Student Accounts will mail payment instructions in mid-July to students who attended Summer Orientation and registered for classes. Payment is due in early August.
For spring enrollees, Student Accounts will mail payment instructions in late November. Payment is due in mid-December.
