Will I need to bring a computer to campus?
Bringing your own computer is not required, but it is a good thing to do if you can swing it. Every dorm room comes with two Ethernet ports for access to the campus computing network, the Web, e-mail, and the library. The college also has well-equipped computer labs and classrooms across the campus, and offers authorized service and computing support to students.

Is there an Orientation program for new students?
Yes! Plattsburgh offers a thorough Student Orientation program for new students and their families. Orientation for Fall enrollees takes place in the summer (two and one-half days for freshmen; a day and a half for transfers). It is filled with formal and informal gatherings that provide students and their parents with opportunities to meet faculty, administrators, and fellow students. Faculty also provide academic advising and course selection, while veteran student leaders lend insights into life at Plattsburgh.
