Graduate Assistantship Opening in the Neuropsychology Clinic

This position is filled for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Neuropsychology Clinic I Graduate Assistantship  

The primary function of the Clinic Assistant is to maintain the daily flow of activities related to client referral. The Clinic Assistant is familiar with and follow Codes of Ethics in keeping with the National Association of School Psychology and the American Psychological Association. Strict procedures related to confidentiality are followed by the Clinic Assistants. The Clinic Assistant I begins working the first day of classes for 15 hours per week (note: not the typical 20 hours per week) and ends the last week of June. This is a full-time Graduate Assistantship, covering in-state tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year and providing a stipend/salary of $5,320.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Record keeping
  • Conducting telephone intakes
  • Obtaining releases and records
  • Ensuring the efficient and professional workings of the Neuropsychology Clinic & Psychoeducational Services Office
  • Communicating with clients and health care professionals
  • Scoring psychological tests
  • Participating as a mental health technician in the evaluation process after completion of training under one of the professional clinicians

Qualifications/Skills:

  • A Clinic Assistant I must be at least in his/her first year of the School Psychology, Speech Pathology, or Counseling Graduate Programs.
