Group information sessions provide an overview of academics and the admissions process, and include time for questions and answers. Visitors are taken on a student-guided tour of the campus which includes stops at residence halls, academic buildings, dining facilities, the fitness center, the library, and the Angell College Center.
SUNY Plattsburgh offers different options for Group Information Sessions:
The Spring Open House schedule of events includes an admissions presentation with a student panel, academic breakout sessions, student-guided campus tours and residence hall viewings, and an informational fair with key student service and academic department representatives. Major-specific group information sessions are available on designated Saturdays beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding at 1:30 p.m. These sessions include an Admissions Presentation, Major-Specific Breakout Sessions with faculty, a live Student Panel, a Campus Tour, and a Q&A with Admissions staff.

These sessions will provide an overview of academics, the transfer admissions process, information about transferring credits, and other items of interest to transfer students. The program will include a campus tour and the opportunity to speak with a transfer advisor. All transfer sessions begin at 1:15 p.m. and conclude around 3:30 p.m.
Group Information Sessions are available on designated holidays and during school breaks. These events include an Admissions Presentation, a Campus Tour, and a Q&A session with Admissions staff. The sessions begin at 1 p.m.
Junior Preview Day is an event exclusively for high school juniors and includes an Admissions Presentation covering academics, student life, and advice on how to navigate the college search and application processes; a live Student Panel; a Campus Tour; and a Q&A Session with Admissions staff. The session begins at 10 a.m.
Sessions are available year-round on Mondays and Fridays, and include an Admissions Presentation at 1:15 p.m., a Q&A Session with Admissions Advisors at 1:45 p.m., and a Campus Tour at 2 p.m.
