ISS Admissions Assistant

I evaluate transfer credits earned abroad. I also assist the director in establishing transfer agreements between Plattsburgh and schools abroad. Having spent a year working as an Admissions Advisor for the college, I am knowledgeable about all areas of the admissions process, academics in particular. Academic Credentials: B.A. Political Science/Philosophy, SUNY Plattsburgh, pursuing an M.A. in Administration and Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Personal Biography: I was raised in Struga, a small city on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Macedonia . My town hosts an exemplary poetry festival in August, where the world's greatest bards recite their work in front of thousands of verse-lovers. Having imbibed poetry at a young age, I have been captivated by fanciful words and ideas my whole life. I graduated with a philosophy degree, and I hope to resume the great tradition of philosophy epitomized by my progenitor Aristotle.

Places I have visited: I have peregrinated Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, France, and Canada.

Favorite SUNY Plattsburgh activity: Perusing esoteric volumes on the third floor of the Feinberg Library. 

Favorite experience as an ISS staff member: Talking to the international students who regularly visit our office for advice, help, and companionship.

Best advice for prospective international students: Take great care to learn the precise meaning, pronunciation, and spelling of words. Immediately purchase a reputable dictionary and keep it close to you for reference. Learning how to read and write well are the most important skills college can teach you. If you looked up some of the difficult words on this page, you have already started the journey.
