Hello! My name is Marquis Scott and I am an Admissions Advisor at SUNY Plattsburgh. I have the pleasure of working with potential students from urban areas of NYC. I am also responsible for interviewing prospective students as well as reviewing high school transcripts. In addition, I am the liaison for students who qualify for our Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and our Multicultural Student Visitation Program (MSVP).

Professional/Personal Biography: I graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2006 with a B.S. in Community Health. I then received the calling to become Director of Volunteer Services/Public Relations at Hospice of the North Country. After a year of intense life lessons at Hospice, I felt compelled to continue my family's legacy of providing for our community. I could not turn down the opportunity as Admissions Advisor at SUNY Plattsburgh; it allows me to be a tangible role model for students who are determined to make a difference in the world that surrounds them, regardless of their environment.
Most Memorable College Experience: Absorbing all the information and experiences that were given to me by my wonderful and caring Professors.
Favorite Plattsburgh State Activity: Attending the athletic events.
Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college: Set goals and let nothing come between you and your accomplishments. Learn it and Love it, but most importantly Each One must Teach One.
