Hometown:
Keeseville, NY
Professional/Personal Biography: After college, I worked in non-profit community relations for four years. It was a great experience, but I missed higher education so, when the position became available in the admissions office, I jumped at the opportunity to come back to Plattsburgh State. On a personal note, my husband David and I are very excited to be new parents. Our daughter, Madeleine, was born in August 2003. We can't wait to introduce her to all of the things we love about the North Country - from boating on Lake Champlain to camping in the Adirondacks.
Most memorable college experience: My senior-year, public relations internship at Georgia-Pacific. It was an invaluable experience.
Favorite Plattsburgh State activity: I have always enjoyed Plattsburgh's outstanding theatre performances; I try to make it to at least one a semester.
Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college: Manage your time well. College life brings a lot of independence, but with that comes responsibility. Don't procrastinate! If you set aside space in every day for studying and homework, then you'll find plenty of time for socializing and extracurricular activities.
