Angel AcostaAngel comes to us from the highly diverse Lower East Side of New York City-Manhattan. He is a junior Anthropology major with a minor in French and a minor in Spanish. Angel is a Resident Assistant for the SUNY Plattsburgh campus life community. He also participates in peer recruiting as an Admissions Student Assistant. Angel gets involved with visiting high school seniors and discusses SUNY Plattsburgh's resources and community with prospective students. He is also a member of the national freshman honor society, Phi Eta Sigma. Angel is planning to go on study abroad opportunities in Canada, Africa, and Mexico. This is his third year as a Student Ambassador. |

Narmina AmirovaNarmina is in her second year here at SUNY Plattsburgh as an Accounting, Finance, and Business major. She is on the Finance Board and is the Vice President of the Asian Club. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports. Narmina is excited to be a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Andrew AntonAndrew is from Sri Lanka and is entering his junior year at SUNY Plattsburgh. He is a Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management major with a minor in Business. He is always looking to be involved on campus. So far: he was an Orientation Leader for the ISS office, he is a member of the Gospel Choir, and the HRT club. He joined Phi Eta Sigma, the freshman honor society and he is also a member of the Phi Mu Delta, which is a multi-cultural fraternity. He is also a Resident Assistant. Andrew is a second-year Student Ambassador. |

Amanda BarocasAmanda comes from Long Island, NY. She is going into her junior year at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is pursuing her degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in mathematics. She is involved in many activities on campus such as the Alpha Phi sorority. She also works in Macomb Hall's mailroom. Amanda is a second-year Student Ambassador and is very excited for upcoming events on campus. |

Monica BoulterMonica is from Watertown, NY. She is going into her junior year as a double major in Child/Special Education with a concentration in Social Studies and Political Science. She is actively involved in many campus activities: Student Association Finance Board, Judicial Board, Peer Mentor and Vice President of Mason Hall Council. She also works in Memorial Hall in the aquatics program and as a CPR and lifeguard instructor. If that is not enough, Monica is also an RA in Harrington Hall. Monica is a second-year Student Ambassador. |

Mohammed ChandooMohammed is from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a senior with a double major in Biochemistry and Medical Technology. Mohammed is very involved with a variety of campus activities to include working in Feinberg Library and doing research in the lab. This summer, he traveled to Kentucky to do added research with Dr. Lavoie. He has also been involved with EOP as a tutor/counselor for the EOP summer program. Mohammed is a Resident Assistant in Whiteface Hall (building for first-year students). He is a second-year Student Ambassador. |

Ashlie DoranAshlie is from Norwood, NY (near Potsdam). She's an early senior who will be graduating in 2008. As an aspiring science writer, she's double majoring in Biology and Magazine Journalism. Some of her honors include being an inducted member of Lambda Pi Eta (the communications studies honor society), and Phi Eta Sigma (the freshman honor society). As a highly driven student, she has actively engaged herself in her chosen field. She interned at "The Daily Courier-Observer," a daily regional newspaper for the Potsdam-Massena-Ogdensburg, NY area, in the summer of 2006. She is the copy editor of All Points North, Plattsburgh's online magazine (www.apnmag.com ). Additionally, Ashlie is a big fan of 99.9 the buzz, paintings by Freydoon Rassouli, traveling, and being able to enjoy time with her friends and family. Ashlie is very excited to be a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Bryan EnselBryan was born in Albany but grew up in Plattsburgh, NY. He is a junior at SUNY Plattsburgh and is majoring in Childhood Special Education. Bryan has assisted with security for the Student Association concerts and was the student liaison during the Vice President for Institutional Advancement search. He has also completed the Freshman Emerging Leaders Seminar. During the summer, Bryan was an Orientation Leader on the family staff. Overall, he likes to keep busy with campus activities and when he is not doing that, you can find him working at ResNEt or as an RA in Macomb Hall. Bryan is a second-year Student Ambassador. |

Michael FeldmanMichael was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and since coming to SUNY Plattsburgh has made quite a name for himself. During Michael's freshman year, he became a Resident Assistant, the co-founder and President of the SUNY Plattsburgh Stock Market Club, is on the CAS Board and was selected to become a Student Ambassador. Michael's goal as a Student Ambassador is to present the college in a classy and fashionable way. He is a very ambitious and hard working individual and is currently working on a degree in Finance with a minor in French. He has been inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, a freshman academic honor society and holds a very high GPA. Recently, he has been inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for being in the top 7% of his class. His long term goals are to become an analyst in equity research or to become a portfolio manager. Michael is a third-year Student Ambassador. |

Sudeakka FrancisOriginally, Sudeakka is from St. Kitts, but is now excited to be studying International Business and Marketing with a minor in Accounting here at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is in her senior year and has established herself on campus. She is an honorary member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Eta Sigma, and the Interreligious Organization for World Peace. She loves to dance and is a member of the Dance Corp. In 2006, Sudeakka was named Miss. Plattsburgh State Caribbean Queen. Sudeakka has also been awarded with the Liamuiga Youth Legacy Award in 2007 from St. Kitts. She is a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Rose FrancoisRose was born and raised in Haiti; she came to the United States when she was 14 years old, and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Rose is a junior with a double major in Biology and Cytotechnology with a minor in Theater. She is an active student on campus; she works in Harrington Hall's mailroom, is a member of the Plattsburgh State Student Association, a participant of the mentoring program, and a tutor counselor for the pre-frehman Educational Opportunity summer program. She is also a member of the Plattsburgh State Service Corps, Resident Assistant, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. You can also catch Rose as a member of the Gospel Choir or cheerleading for the Men's and Women's Basketball teams. Rose is studying abroad for the fall semester, but we will welcome her back in the spring as a second-year Student Ambassador. |

Kim GarrisonKim is a senior at SUNY Plattsburgh from Palatine Bridge, NY. She is pursuing a degree in Education (Elementary and Special) and during her first year at SUNY Plattsburgh received the Alumni Association "Unsung Hero" Award. Kim is the Project HELP Student Coordinator, an Orientation Leader, and a Resident Assistant. Kim has volunteered at Stafford Middle School and the Center for Diversity, Pluralism, and Inclusion. If that is not enough, Kim stays very busy being the Student Association President. Kim is a third-year Student Ambassador. |

Jabari GeorgeJabari is a senior graduating in May 2008. He is a national of Trinidad and Tobago and is currently in the Engineering 3+2 program. He has almost completed his three years at SUNY Plattsburgh and is looking for an engineering school to enter in the Fall of 2008. He is possibly looking to finish his schooling in Canada. Jabari will also graduate with a minor in Computer Science. He is involved with many activities on campus. He is in the Asian Club, the former Social Chair of Club Caribbean, and a member of the Honor Student Association. In his spare time, Jabari likes to swim and read books. His favorite topics include creation theory and fantasy. Jabari is a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Zaheeda HamzaZaheeda is a nursing student at SUNY Plattsburgh and is excited to be a first-year Student Ambassador. She is from Tanzania, but is excited to be studying here at Plattsburgh State. She is in her junior year and is very involved on campus. She is an RM and also a member of the Asian Club. Zaheeda has hosted Nite of Nations, an annual multi-cultural event on campus. With all of her activities, Zaheeda always finds time to study-she is an honor student here at Plattsburgh State. In her spare time, she likes to play basketball, run, and go to the gym. An interesting fact about Zaheeda: she speaks six different languages! |

Justine HigginsJustine comes to us from Plattsburgh, NY. She is a senior Speech Pathology major. Justine has earned academic recognition by placing on the Dean's List. She is an active member of the Women's Varsity Tennis Team, playing in the third singles spot during her freshman year. In addition to being an RA in Mason Hall, she also completed the college's Emerging Leaders Program. Justine is a third-year Student Ambassador. |

Joshua HoughJosh is entering his senior year at SUNY Plattsburgh and is from Waddington, NY. His major is Secondary Education (mathematics). He is in the BAMST program and will be able to receive both his bachelor's degree and master's degree within five years. Josh is the treasurer of Omicron Delta Kappa, a member of Phi Eta Sigma, and an RA at Macdonough Hall. Josh is an active member of the Society for Success and Leadership and also works at the YMCA. Jennifer JoshuaJennifer is from Nigeria, West Africa. She is a junior at SUNY Plattsburgh studying Bio-Chemistry and Geology. She is an RA in Whiteface Hall, a tour guide, senator for the Student Association, and a member of the Gospel Choir. Jennifer is also involved with Phi Eta Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, and is enrolled in the honors program. In her spare time, Jennifer likes to shop, read, and sing. Jennifer LightfootJennifer is a senior this year and will graduate in May, 2008. She is studying CDS - Communication Disorders and Sciences. She will have a minor in Sociology. She stays active on campus through Project HELP and NSSLHA. In her spare time, Jennifer likes to run, hang out with friends, read, and work with people who have disabilities. Thuy LuongThuy is originally from Vietnam and is now an Accounting and Business major at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is entering her junior year at SUNY Plattsburgh and is a first-year Student Ambassador. Like many of our ambassadors, Thuy is very involved on campus. She is the head tutor at the Learning Center and a Teacher's Assistant for Accounting. Thuy is involved with the Honor Student Association as well as the Accounting and Finance Association. She is a Tour Guide for open houses and was an Orientation Leader for both domestic and international students this past summer. Last spring, Thuy was a captain for a Relay for Life team as well. If you are at the Angell College Center, you might see Thuy at the Information Desk. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends and get to know new people. |

Shauna ManskyShauna is a sophomore psychology major at SUNY Plattsburgh going for pre-med. She is also declaring a second major of history this semester. She is part of Phi Ata Sigma for journalism and is also a member of the psychology honor society, Psi Chi. Shauna is originally from Albany, but her family now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. In her spare time, she likes to paint and run. She also loves to snow board. Shauna is very excited to start her first year as a Student Ambassador. |

Anna MendesAnna is a nursing major at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is originally from Buxton, ME. Prior to coming to Plattsburgh, Anna was a member of the National Honor society for three years, involved in Key Club, a member of several Relay for Life teams, and has captained two sucessful sports travel teams. She is also a member of Phi Eta Sigma. Currently, Anna is a member of SNAPS, the Student Nursing Association and has also participated in many ski trips over the winter for the Student Association. Anna is a second-year Student Ambassador. |

F. Muzleena MuzamilMuzleena is a second-year Student Ambassador from Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is a junior double majoring in Mathematics and Physics. Muzleena received the Presidential Scholarship for incoming freshman and is enrolled in the Honors Program. She is a member of the Asian Club, Gospel Choir, and the Math Club and currently holds office in each of them. She was an Orientation Leader for International students, an RA, and currently works as a peer tutor in the mathematics department and a Staff Assistant in the Honors Center. Her long term goal is to become a Mechanical Engineer. |

Dustin RelationDustin is majoring in the education department's 5-year BA/MST program. Through this program, he will obtain a Bachelor's degree in history, as well as a masters in Education. He is actually starting his graduate work this semester. Dustin is the Co-publicist for the Kappa Delta Phi International Honor Society in Education. He also serves as a tutor in the Learning Center and volunteer tour guide. Dustin is a second-year Student Ambassador and is very excited to be even more involved on campus with the Student Ambassador program this year. |

Leanna-Marie RobertsonLeanna is a Biology major at SUNY Plattsburgh and is entering her junior year. She is very active on campus. Her activities include: President of the Honor Student Association, tutor for the Learning Center, contributing writer for Cardinal Points, member of Omicron Delta Kappa, member of the Chemistry Club, and Chief Justice for the Student Association. Leanna-Marie is also running for President of Banks Hall. Along with many other activites, Leanna volunteers at CVPH. An interesting fact about Leanna is that she would like to go to medical school once she graduates from SUNY Plattsburgh. She is a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Breanna RyanBreanna is a junior transfer student from Lafargeville, NY. She transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh from Jefferson Community College in the Fall of 2004. She graduated in December 2006 with a degree in Elementary Education. Currently, she is in her second semester doing graduate work in the field of literacy. Breanna is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Education Honor Society. Breanna is a third-year Student Ambassador. |

Shabna ShareefShabna is originally from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. She is a senior majoring in Business Administration, Accouting, and will have a minor in Finance. She is very involved on campus as an RA in Banks Hall and a tutor in the Learning Center. Shabna also used to be a tour guide for SUNY Plattsburgh. She is a member of two honor societies: ODK and Phi Kappa Phi. In her spare time, Shabna loves reading books and being outdoors. She enjoys the many outdoor activities the North Country has to offer like hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Shabna is a first-year Student Ambassador. |

Lisa TaberLisa is from Albany, NY. She is a junior studying Criminal Justice and Political Science at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is very active on campus being a member of the kick-line team and Criminal Justice and Sociology Club. Lisa is the Community Service Coordinator for Project HELP and works as an intern at Attorney Johnston's law office here in Plattsburgh. Megan WareMegan is a senior at SUNY Plattsburgh studying Individualized Studies. She recently traveled abroad to study at the University of Queensland, Australia. Over the past year, she also studied at Florida International University. She enjoys scuba diving and is excited about all the upcoming events she will attend as part of being a Student Ambassador. Zachary WarnerZach is a graduate student at SUNY Plattsburgh in the Adolescence Education MST program. He completed his undergrad studies at Plattsburgh in mathematics. Zach is from Averill Park, NY and is a former member of the SUNY Plattsburgh Track and Field team. He is also a Resident Director, a member of the college's Honors Program, and a talented musician. Zach received the prestigious Presidential Scholarship as an incoming freshman and has been inducted into several honor societies, serving as an officer in Phi Eta Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa. She has been a member of the Music Council for two years, having served as secretary for a year and a half. She is a tutor at the Learning Center. Sarah WhartonSarah is going into her junior year as an Environmental Science major from Afton, NY. She is an active member of the Environmental Action Committee and the Earth and Science Club. Sarah is a member of the Plattsburgh Student Service Corps, and works for the Center for Earth and Environmental Science. She also plays the flute in the Symphonic Band. Sarah is a second-year Student Ambassador. |
