Meet the Coach
Matt Salvatore, Golf Head Coach
Matt Salvatore was named coach of Plattsburgh State's men's and women's golf teams in 2002.
Prior to becoming head coach, Salvatore was assistant coach from 2000 to 2002. He was the volunteer assistant at the reincorporation of the golf program in 1998.
He also served as the interim head coach from fall 1999 until spring 2000 when Bruce Fry joined the staff.
In addition to his coaching duties, Salvatore is the fitness center director. In that capacity, he is responsible for membership and budget development, facility management, hiring, training and professional development of student staff, and developing fitness programs for individuals and groups.
He is a faculty senator for the division of Student Affairs. He has previously chaired the fitness center advisory board and Memorial Hall facilities committee.
Prior to Plattsburgh State, he was a fitness specialist for the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester, NY.
A 1990 graduate of Brockport State, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education with a concentration in adult fitness and exercise physiology.
