Descriptions for Spring 2008 Schedule
Cardio Fitness & Sculpting
Energizer : This class is perfect for the beginner as well as the more experienced exerciser. Creative, lower intensity, easy to follow step moves will give you that boost that you need to make it through the day. Abdominal and various floor work is included at the end.
Pilates : This class utilizes several mat exercises to achieve a stronger more balanced physique. Breathing technique, proper form and alignment are emphasized.
Powerstep : An intermediate to advanced level step class utilizing innovative choreography and a 30+ minute cardiovascular segment, followed by strength work.
Total Body Blast : This toning class is an intense total body workout. Upper and lower body muscles are worked individually and simultaneously to improve muscle tone and definition.
Washboard Abs : Formally known as The Core, this class focuses on abdominal work only. The class is limited to 20 participants. There are no sign ups this semester. Notice the additional time frames added to the schedule for your convenience!
Specialty Classes
BOSU 4 U : Back this semester by popular demand! This class targets endurance, strength and power utilizing theBOSU Balance Trainer. If you want a complete body workout designed to improve your physique, then this is the class for you.
Kickboxing : Choose the class that’s right for you! Beginner Kickboxing or Advanced: Each class teaches you more basic or advanced kickboxing moves. You will use wrist wraps and gloves, along with punching bags and mitts for a fun, yet challenging workout.
Spinning : A 40-50 minute class where the cycling journey is all terrain (flats, hills, acceleration, jumps, runs) to target a wide range of performance zones (65-95% max heart rate). Students will work aerobically and anaerobically. Heart rate monitors are recommended and available for sign out.
Yoga : Basic Yoga exercises, breathing and relaxation, for health of body, mind and spirit. Increase your flexibility, reduce stress and improve your ability to study and concentrate. Experience inner peace.

Interested in becoming a group exercise instructor? We will train you to teach step, body conditioning, pilates, spinning, kickboxing and more throughout the fall semester.
