The Sports Medicine department at SUNY Plattsburgh is responsible for the health care needs of over 300 student athletes in 17 varsity sports .
Three full-time, and one part-time, certified Athletic Trainers
serve the needs of our student

- treatment of these injuries
We use a variety of treatments including therapeutic modalities, strengthening, stretching, manual therapies, balance exercises and sport specific exercises to help keep our student athletes healthy, fit and at peak performance. Our goal is returning the student-athlete back into competition as quickly and safely as possible.
Student-athletes at SUNY Plattsburgh also receive the finest medical care available for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and non-athletic related injuries. Our dedicated staff of team Physicians, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses and Athletic Trainers serves as the medical corps for the Sports Medicine department.
