Communication Collections Policies
Clientele:
The Communication Department offers programs in Mass Media and Speech Communication at the BA and BS levels. Mass Media includes television and radio production, and broadcast management and journalism. Speech Communication includes practical skills and perspectives on human communication. Both include oral communication and writing. The collection serves the needs of undergraduates and faculty in support of instruction. There are about 10 faculty members directly involved in teaching Communication courses. The following areas are also related to the collection: Advertising, Art, Film, Journalism, Management, Marketing, Music, Political Science, Psychology and Public Relations.
Existing Collections:
The collection includes mainly current English language materials from the U.S. Some technical materials dealing with production are owned.
