Earth Science Collections Policies
Clientele:
The Earth Science program, part of the Center for Earth and Environmental Science, offers 5 study options: BA, BS, Environmental Geology, Geology/Civil Engineering, and Secondary Education/Earth Science. The Earth Science collection serves the needs of undergraduates in the department and faculty in support of instruction. There are about 14 faculty members directly involved in teaching Earth Science.

- Environmental Science,
- Geography, and
- Chemistry.
Existing Collections:
Plattsburgh's Earth Science collection contains mainly current materials in English, and its chronological scope encompasses all eras of earth's history. U.S.-related materials are the major focus, with a minor global focus. The collection is strong in the areas of dinosaurs and geology of the Adirondacks. Experimental and technical materials have been collected.
