Museum Days at Plattsburgh State Art Museum, June 7 and June 8

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (May 23, 2014) — The Plattsburgh State Art Museum will participate in the seventh annual Museum Days, Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8.
Visitors can enjoy a full day of activities and fun for the whole family. The weekend will include free admission, kids’ crafts and more:
- A treasure hunt.
- Free, unrestricted parking.
- And the viewing of art in the Rockwell Kent Gallery, located in Feinberg Library; the Regina Schoolman Slatkin Study Room, Myers Lobby Gallery; and the Winkel Sculpture Court, on the second floor of the Myers Fine Arts Building.
Visitors are encouraged to drop in between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Museum Days is sponsored by the Press-Republican and the Adirondack Coast Cultural Alliance. Participating museums, galleries and cultural centers will be open and free of charge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The weekend is also the kickoff of the area passport program, which is valid through the end of the season. Participants will be able to present their “passport” for a stamp at each participating heritage attraction. Passports are good for the following year.
Participants who visit and receive a stamp for each attraction and fill their passport in the next year will be eligible to win selected prizes donated by local businesses.
