E.O.P. Programs and Services
Spring Bus Trip
Each spring the Plattsburgh E.O.P. and Admissions Offices co-sponsor a two-day (Thursday/Friday) bus trip for eligible freshman E.O.P. applicants. Originating in New York City, the bus stops in Westchester County, Albany, and Glens Falls along the way to Plattsburgh.
Student costs for the the two-day trip (including lodging in a residence hall and meals on campus) are $40 from New York City and Westchester County; $30 from Albany; or $20 from Glens Flass. Students from other areas of the state must provide their own transportation and pay a $20 fee for the trip.
The bus-trip itinerary includes:
- Overnight dormitory accomodation with a current Plattsburgh undergraduate
- Campus tour
- Meals at campus dining halls
- Discussion groups with current students and staff
- Meetings with college officials
- Classroom visits
- An admissions open house to assist in the completion of applications.
Eligible students who have applied for E.O.P. freshman admission to Plattsburgh State will receive an invitation to attend the bus trip that includes detailed information on the trip and a registration form.
