SUNY Plattsburgh College Council
The College Council at SUNY Plattsburgh serves as an oversight and advisory body to the campus and to the president and senior administration of SUNY Plattsburgh. In accordance with New York State Education Law, the Council comprises ten members; nine who are appointed to seven-year terms by the governor of the State of New York, and one student member elected annually from among the campus' undergraduate and graduate students. The chair is appointed by the Governor.

New Members Join the College Council at SUNY Plattsburgh
Two new members have been appointed to the SUNY Plattsburgh College Council. They are Karen Edwards of Malone (a Paul Smith's College Professor) and Heidi Kelly of Olmstedville (Principal at Minerva Central School).
