Registration Dates and Information for Graduate Students

Summer 2008 Courses

• Registration: April 5, 2008 (10 a.m.) through first day of course.  Click here for additional summer information.  Please register early.

Fall 2008 Courses

• Registration:  April 5, 2008 (10 a.m.) - August 31, 2008 (midnight).

Banner Web (Online Registration)

1. Access Banner Web from Plattsburgh's homepage at www.plattsburgh.edu .
2. Click on Banner Web link.
3. Click Login to Secure Area link.
4. Enter USER ID: enter your social security number (no hyphens or spaces).
5. Tab to PIN field (do not press the return/enter key).
6. Enter PIN: enter the last six digits of your social security number if  this is your initial Banner Web login.
7. Login.
8. Select Student Menu.
9. Select Registration Menu.
10. Select Term (Summer 2008 or Fall 2008).
11. Select Look Up Classes to Add.
12. Check the box next to the desired course(s), scroll to end of page, and submit changes. Approval to add a closed course is granted by the department chairperson only. However, you will have an opportunity to add your name to an electronic waitlist for fall 2008 courses. Once the course opens, you may be registered automatically if you and/or the course meet registration rules (i.e., major restrictions, prerequisites, no time conflicts, do not exceed the maximum credits allowed per term, etc.). An email will be forwarded to your Plattsburgh email account in the event that you are successfully registered for a waitlisted course.

Notes:

• Matriculated graduate students who are not currently attending may contact the Registrar's Office to be assigned a registration time ticket permitting access to online registration (518-564-2100 or registrar@plattsburgh.edu ).
• Students are responsible for all information existing on their registration records, including tuition and fees associated with all courses.
• Continuing graduate students and new fall 2008 graduate students are eligible to register for the summer 2008 and fall 2008 semesters during the time periods listed above.
