Resume Writing

The purpose of a resume is to get a job, right? WRONG! The purpose is to obtain an interview.

Many people are confused by all the seemingly contradictory information out there. The fact is that resume writing is a very individualized process, and there are different styles depending on one's own experience and the career field in which they are applying. Designing and sending a resume electronically has some special considerations. Resumes in other countries are very different than ones in the U.S.

However, there are some general rules to follow. Get assistance with your own resume by attending a workshop, making an appointment with a career counselor, and/or reviewing some of our resources in our career library.
