The SUNY Plattsburgh Career Development Center provides assistance to students seeking employment on- and off-campus.
Many students are interested in finding part-time jobs. On-campus employers include campus offices, academic departments, food services, the library, and the recreation department, among others. There are a limited number of these positions, which include federal work study positions. Off-campus employment for students include professional offices, restaurants, and retail businesses, as well as at more casual employment such as childcare, housework, or yardwork.
View current part-time job postings (CardinalConnect login required).
The Part-Time Job Fest, held at the start of every fall semester, showcases postings for part-time jobs on- and off-campus with a variety of employers. Students can review job postings online through CardinalConnect prior to the event.
Students seeking Federal Work-Study positions should search the job postings in CardinalConnect using the keyword "Work study" in quotations. Contact Financial Aid to determine your eligibility. Work-study positions are posted in CardinalConnect.
Visit our Applied Learning and Internships web pages for complete information about how you can incorporate these valuable experiences in your college education. Internships and full time postings are also available at CardinalConnect. Students affiliated with the School of Business and Economics are encouraged to contact Ms. Mary Carpenter, director for SBE Internships, at (518) 564-4303.
A comprehensive database of international work, volunteer, and internship opportunities can be found in GoinGlobal, a free service for students logged into their CardinalConnect career services management portal.
