Winter Commencement at SUNY Plattsburgh

On Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 11 a.m., an estimated 500 students will begin a new phase of their lives as they participate in the 2008 Winter Commencement, which will be held in the Field House Gymnasium. The day will bring joy, feelings of pride and even tears to those in attendance during this annual ritual.

Student Commencement Speaker Self-Nomination Process

This celebration of achievement would not be as poignant without the careful attention to the numerous details involved in planning this momentous occasion. The procedures on protocol covered here on this Website have proven to be highly effective in preserving the dignity of the proceedings over the years. They also establish proper decorum guaranteeing a memorable event for graduating students and spectators alike.

Cardinal Graduation Expo (12 - 6 p.m.)
Location: Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center

SUNY Plattsburgh will host the Cardinal Graduation Expo, tentatively set for Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 12 to 6 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center. Students planning to graduate in December 2008 can attend and purchase caps and gowns, diploma covers, commencement announcements, class rings, diploma frames and other gift items relating to Commencement. Class of 2008 Senior Send-Off (11 p.m.)
Location: Sundowner -- Angell College Center

The Student Activities and Alumni Affairs offices will host the Class of 2008 Senior Send-Off, a late evening breakfast for all graduating seniors who are encouraged to attend. The event is free to all graduating students.
