I look forward to welcoming our graduating students along with their families and friends as they come together to share in this special ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. However, there are a number of important items that all students planning to graduate in December need to complete.
Degree candidates need to apply for their diploma with the Registrar's Office to guarantee their names will be listed in the Winter Commencement Program. If you have not applied yet, please do so today. Please use the link to complete the online process: Application for Diploma.
Degree candidates are able to attend the Cardinal Graduation Expo, which will be held in the Fall 2017 semester. Date and time not confirmed yet. We will have staff on hand to answer questions about important details you need to know before leaving.
This is also a great opportunity for students to purchase gift items relating to Commencement, such as caps and gowns, diploma covers, commencement announcements, class rings, and diploma frames. The College Store will have vendors on site to meet with you.
I also encourage you to attend the Commencement Reception planned for Friday, Dec. 15, and then Winter Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at 10 a.m.. In the meantime, I encourage you to work hard during these last few weeks of your college career at SUNY Plattsburgh.
