The Circle Retreat
This semi-annual weekend retreat is offered only to selected fraternity/sorority members who have the capacity to create significant change through meaningful values-based conversations. The Circle convenes at Twin Valleys Outdoor Education Center and is based on the tradition of Native American talking circles.
The Circle objectives are:
- To form stronger individual relationships across organizations;
- To analyze the underlying dynamics of community relations;
- To develop initiatives that will build stronger relationships across the community;
- To identify a core issue affecting the fraternity/sorority community and to develop a plan to resolve the issue.
The Circle experience includes participation in a Ropes course, a hike through the Adirondacks, and meaningful conversation about the power of community.
