More Than Just "Living In a Dorm"
The housing options at Plattsburgh State offer a safe, secure, well-maintained environment, which addresses the academic, personal and social needs of our students.
A dorm is place to sleep and shower. Our residence halls provide opportunities for students to engage in leadership roles, interact with other students by attending activities, seek academic support services such as advising and tutoring, or just hang out with friends in lounges equipped with TVs, pool tables, ping-pong tables, and a variety of other fun stuff!
Living on campus is fun, exciting, and challenging! There is a strong sense of community in our halls and students play a central role in creating an environment that values understanding and respect.
Students consistently give the residence hall staff, safety and security, and their experiences in the residence halls an excellent rating in our annual Quality of Life Survey.
Housing Application for Rooms in a Residence Hall
Attention New Students: Once you have paid your $150 deposit, you can submit your housing application (Spring applicants may begin on October 18th and Fall applicants on February 1). We encourage you to complete the housing application right away as assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Here's how you can submit your housing application online:
- Log in to Banner Web
- Enter your usercode (social security number)
- Enter your PIN (preset to the last 6 digits of social security number, you will be prompted to create your own)
- Review and acknowledge receipt of the "Student Codes of Conduct"
- Click on "Main Menu"
- Click on "Student Menu"
- Click on "Residential Life"
- Click on "Plattsburgh State Housing Questionnaire"
- Complete and submit the "Plattsburgh State Housing Questionnaire"
If you prefer to complete a paper application, you can request one via email at housing@plattsburgh.edu or by phone at (800) 569-5716.
Housing Exemption Request for Commuting and Off-Campus Students
